About Me
Ryan Bugay
I'm 19 years old, born and raised in Irvine, California, with a dream of opening my own cafe. Growing up playing basketball, I developed a deep passion for mastering my craft — always striving for consistency and excellence. That same drive is what I am bringing into this coffee business.
At the age of 17 I fell in love with the craft of coffee and matcha. Since then, I have worked to expand my knowledge through repeated practice and research, refining my skills with the goal of improving every step of the way. I can't wait to serve you all soon!
What is Static?
With the hopes of one day opening a brick-and-mortar vinyl cafe, "static" draws inspiration from the sound of the record player as the needle first touches the vinyl.
Static also refers to stillness, which carries the vision of the cafe: a space where people can stop and take a moment out of their day to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Mission
My mission is to share my passion for coffee and matcha with every customer by delivering high-quality drinks handled with care and precision. I strive to create a welcoming environment for all customers, whether you want to chat about coffee or just grab one to go.
Vision
My vision is to create a community, united by a love for coffee and matcha, where people can come together to connect and enjoy each other's presence. Over time, Static Coffee will grow into a brick-and-mortar cafe rooted in third-wave values, becoming a staple in the community.
